In a market that is not favorable for every family to move into a new home, these clients decided to make this their forever home. With young children and a large friend group, their current kitchen was not favorable to entertaining. By removing the dividing walls and installing a supporting LVL beam, what was a broken up, unattractive and nonfunctional area became an open concept oasis that their family and friends can gather with no boundaries and no limits.

Sherwin Williams Olympus White cascades across the entire space as the color palate for the walls, trim, ceiling and perimeter cabinets. This combined with the recess lights make an eight foot ceiling height expand naturally. Working within the constraints of existing window placement, a custom desk area was installed which is perfect for weeknight homework assignments or monthly bill organization with the file drawer below. This space also creates a custom corner to house the roomba vacuum to be fully utilized and put away with ease. An appliance garage and floor to ceiling pantry storage provides the perfect hidden areas for the every day essentials. The weathered oak floating shelves that flank the vent hood complete the need for a natural element against the monochromatic 4x4 porcelain backsplash. Brushed brass wall sconces, under cabinet lighting and oversized white pendants provide texture in lighting that gives visual interest while maintaining the function of this working kitchen.  Utility and pantry pullouts in the perimeter cabinets accompanied by the trash pullout and exposed paper towel holder in the island provide the concealed function to keep the veined white quartz countertops as clean as possible. The custom made iron corbels tie in with the black cabinet hardware and black and brass faucet and dining chandelier. The last but not least detail of this kitchen is the custom charging station pantry to use for electronics and standing vacuum to put away and access with ease.
