This little beauty right here? It's my favorite thing I selected during our remodel! Even though we remodeled our house 7 years ago, this continues to be the one of the best decisions we made and definitely one thing I would do again if I ever moved and renovated another house. Today, I wanted to share my LOVE for our tankless water heater. (Now is a great time to mention that these are my own opinions, and I was not compensated in anyway for mentioning the Rinnai Tankless Water Heater). I can't NOT share a good thing when I KNOW first hand how great it works for our family! With a house full of girls, Elliott knew he was NOT EVER going to have a hot shower unless we went with a tankless water heater. We went with a Rinnai RU 98 and I have never looked back. What's even better than a continuosly hot shower, is that I can also have the dishwasher on, the sink running, someone in the shower, and one does not afffect the other! Even better? I don't have a huge water heater taking up space in my small laundry room!
Nothing in life is 100 percent perfect. The pros definitely outweigh the cons. You may spend more money up front for the unit. "Why"? you may ask- The answer is two fold, one for the unit itself, and It has a higher consumption use of gas, so you have to make sure your gas system can handle the additional load the system puts on it. Personally, our gas usage dropped 30% after our unit was installed. Also, if your unit is installed inside, it may sound like a jet plane taking off.
Are you thinking you will be remodeling in your future? You may want to consider a tankless water heater!
